President, CEO & Founder
Leland Oberst is the President, CEO and Founder of Innovative Fuel Systems. He was a Deloitte Edmonton Partner from 2002 until 2016 and the Managing Partner from May 2012 until November 2016. He obtained his CA (CPA) designation in 1993.
Leland currently sits on the VETS Group Advisory Board. Most recently, he was an Executive Advisor to the APX Hotel Group and sat on the YPO Alberta Chapter Board and the University of Alberta Business School's Advisory Board.
Chief Technology Officer
Jake is a multidiscipline engineer with over 25 years' experience in the heavy duty engine industry. He has over 15 years of experience with Cummins, where his role progressed from a mechanic to Manufacturing Manager involved with diesel, propane and natural gas engines and related systems.
He is the former Chief Engineer at Surepoint Group, overseeing the design and implementation of various heavy duty engine platforms for mobile, stationary and power generation — including Cummins, CAT, Detroit, Waukesha, Jenbacher, MAN, MTU and Volvo. Jake holds a B.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering (Aerospace) from the University of Manitoba.
